Under the Civil Rights Act, no company may descriminate on the basis of race and other things.

This one internship program I stumbled upon is a paid Summer Internship Program “for students of color…”

Therefore, in my opinion, this internship program, SEO Career Program is descriminating against white applicants. Is my opinion true? Is this organization violating the Civil Rights Act?

Below, I have the URL to the Internship Program.

I am in charge of marketing for an Insurance Brokerage located in a suburb of the San Francisco Bay Area. We currently have a marketing budget of about $400-$500 a month. We have been around for 50 years so we have experience, but our main source have been word-of-mouth and posting an ad in the Yellow Pages. Needless to say, with the emergence of the internet, the Yellow Pages have not done too well for marketing purposes lately.

The ideal situation would be for us to be easily searched on Yahoo, Google, MSN, etc. If someone were to search “auto insurance belmont” for example, we would want to pop up near the top of the search. Does anyone know of a good company to go through to get these kinds of results. We were already scammed by an SEO company so GOOD advise would help. Thank you.

I work as a Marketing Executive for an in-house Sales & Marketing department. Although a small company in terms of staff, it delivers services nationally to some major clients. My role involves marketing and graphic/web design. These are my main duties:

• Management of all Marketing & PR activities
• Design of company website, marketing literature, email marketing, display advertising and any other promotional materials, including client presentations
• Lead management – involves advanced Excel functions
• Database management
• SEO/PPC
• Internal communication
• Management of business partner relationships (2 major mobile network providers)
• An element of performance management

Although I don’t hold a marketing qualification, I have now been in the job for 2 years and get positive feedback from my employer. I earn £14.5k basic + bonus. Despite promises otherwise, the bonus scheme is barely worthwhile – weighing in at £200 quarterly (before tax).

Comments appreciated!

I would like to know whether the search engines will pick up that you have submitted the same articles to the various press release websites that there are.

The reason for doing this is to boost the SEO for my website but will I get penalised and should I use a different article for each of the press release sites. Thanks for your help.

i’ve looked at some dated articles and biased research and they all tell the same thing: Joomla sucks in terms of Search Engine Ranking/Optimization/Friendly.

My question is Why?

Is it the coding structure?
The Link structure?

I have zero coding experience and just want to know the reason behind it, if its even true at all.

And also, please point out tutorials or components to fix this issue.

My index page had a page rank of four. This rank lasted for 9 months. While my articles section had a page rank of zero(0). But as of two days ago, my index page rank dropped to three, while my articles section went up from zero to a page rank of three.

What causes this to happen? Google is acting very weird over the past two weeks.

301 redirect – will website name change affect ranking? SEO question?
SEO new website

Currently if you search in google.co.uk for ‘personalised cards’ you come up with our website on the first page. We are changing the entire website name, if somebody typed in our previous company name, would the search result still be as good with a 301 redirect?

e.g. (fake sites used here) www.brilliantbirthdaycards.com has a new website with a 301 direct to www.bestgreeting.com – Google Analytics show that people already know our name and to find us type the keywords “brilliant birthday cards” (the name of the company) but if we changed to bestgreeting, if people typed in “brilliant birthday cards” would we still be at the top of the page with keywords that no longer apply to the name of our company?

E.g. – Should I have a title tag: ~brilliant birthday cards-rebranded as bestgreeting.com~ and have description, meta description and keywords mentioning both sites?
